1. Water

• Type of Water: This is one of the most critical aspects of Venus flytrap care. You must only use distilled water, reverse osmosis (RO) water, or rainwater. Tap water, bottled water, and filtered water (like from a Brita) contain minerals that build up in the soil and can be fatal to the plant. The plant’s natural environment has very nutrient-poor soil, and it gets all its nutrients from the insects it captures.
• Watering Method: Use the “tray method.” Place the pot in a shallow tray or saucer with about 1-2 inches of water. The plant will absorb the water from the bott
