Bowiea Volubilis, commonly known as Climbing Onion or Sea Onion, is a truly captivating and distinctive succulent from the asparagus family, native to southern and eastern Africa. Celebrated for its prominent, exposed green bulb and its delicate, twining stems that elegantly climb or trail, this plant makes a striking statement in any collection. It typically features a bulb diameter of 5-8 cm, with climbing stems that can reach up to 200 cm in length.

This unique perennial thrives in bright, indirect light to partial shade, preferring well-drained, gritty succulent or cactus mix. Water sparingly during its active growing season (spring and summer), allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Reduce watering significantly during its natural dormancy period in late summer or fall, when stems may die back.
