Exotic Jiffy Pelican Flower Vine (Aristolochia Gigantea ‘Brasiliensis’)

Discover the magnificent Aristolochia gigantea ‘Brasiliensis’, famously known as the Pelican Flower or Brazilian Dutchman’s Pipe. This fast-growing, evergreen vine is celebrated for producing some of the world’s largest and most unusual flowers. Its dramatic reddish-purple, white-streaked, and yellow-throated pouch-like blooms can measure up to 15 cm wide and 30 cm tall, creating a truly spectacular display.

Originating from the tropical regions of Brazil and Central America, this vigorous climber can reach an impressive height of 6 meters, making it ideal for trellises, arbours, or green walls. It thrives in well-draining, fertile soil with moderate watering and prefers a sunny spot, though some protection from intense afternoon sun is beneficial in very hot climates. Enjoy a continuous show of ornamental flowers with relatively low maintenance.
