The Alocasia Maharani (Alocasia maharani), fondly known in the botanical community as the ‘Grey Dragon’ Alocasia, is an elite compact jewel alocasia created from an exquisite natural hybridization between Alocasia reginula (‘Black Velvet’) and Alocasia melo. Boasting thick, leathery, rugose foliage in deep sage and silvery-slate tones, its heart-shaped leaves feel like textured reptilian armor. Highly prized for its dwarf stature and architectural presence, it brings regal sophistication to desks, terrariums, and curated tropical collections across India.
