The Strawberry Begonia, also known as Saxifraga stolonifera, is a charming, low-growing perennial that is popular for its attractive foliage and unique growth habit. Despite the name, it is not a true begonia nor does it produce edible strawberries. It earned its name from its strawberry-like runners that produce baby plantlets, similar to how strawberry plants propagate. Native to Japan and China, this plant is cherished for both indoor and outdoor decoration due to its beautiful appearance and easy maintenance.
