A rarely seen calathea with distinctive ornamental leaves in glorious feathered shades of green. Calatheas are very eye-catching and will add a bold, colourful element to your houseplant collection. The Calathea genus contains some of the most recognisable houseplants, which can also be identified under the Geoppertia genus. These plants can be found natively across the tropical rainforests of South America. Calathea are part of the Marantaceae family and are known for their ability to move their leaves depending on available light. This is known as nastic movement. Calatheas are a great pet-friendly houseplant option.
